Getting Started

Piano Discovery Workshop

Our introductory Piano Discovery is designed for children ages 4 to 10 who are newcomers to piano and the Suzuki philosophy. We'll play musical games, learn some fundamentals of playing piano, and make friends while learning about the philosophy of Dr. Suzuki. It is designed for parents and children to attend together. The class is held periodically throughout the year and lasts approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours, depending on the number of students participating.  Check What's Happening for the next scheduled Piano Discovery class and email us if you'd like more information or to sign-up.

Observe a Lesson

Observing a lesson or group class is an ideal way to get a sense of the structure, teaching style, and expectations of a lesson.  Contact us so that we can set-up an observation that is suitable for your age and playing level.  Stay for 15 minutes or the entire lesson, it’s up to you.

Trial Lesson

Attend a Recital

We offer one 15-30 minute trial lesson (depending on the age of the student) at no cost.  This will give all those involved an understanding of the student’s playing level, teaching and learning styles, and expectations.  After this lesson, regular tuition costs apply.  Contact us to schedule a trial lesson.

CMSP recitals are always open to the public and free of charge; we cordially invite you to come enjoy our students perform.  A short cookie reception follows each CMSP concert and is an ideal opportunity to meet the teachers, tour our studios and recital spaces, and set-up the next steps for piano lessons.  Refer to Upcoming Events for dates.
